Ride for A Rogue Sweeps Grand Prize Winner Announced!

drivers seatOne lucky Hampton Roads E-ZPass driver will be hitting the roads this year in a brand new Nissan Rogue and enjoy complimentary SNJB travel in 2017 after being selected as the Grand Prize Winner in the Ride for A Rogue Sweepstakes!

USS Harry S. Truman sailor and Norfolk resident Ron Pierce traveled the bridge on September 19th as he headed out of Norfolk Naval Shipyard. That trip was just like the one he takes home from work almost every day, except that it was the one trip randomly selected from nearly 800,000 others taken since the start of summer that earned him the grand prize. "I travel the Jordan Bridge every day to beat the traffic, but I couldn't believe I won!" says Pierce.

The Ride for A Rogue Sweepstakes was open for 28 weeks last year from June 17th through December 31st. All SNJB trips taken by E-ZPass customers earned a free entry in the sweepstakes with a total of 793,396 entries received during the campaign. The Grand Prize package is valued at $23,810 and features a brand new 2016 Nissan Rogue vehicle, courtesy of Nissan of Chesapeake plus unlimited free travel for the new vehicle on the South Norfolk Jordan Bridge in 2017. More information about the sweepstakes, including vehicle details and Official Rules and Regulations, is available at www.SNJB.net/R4RSweeps.

"The sweepstakes partnership with Nissan of Chesapeake provided a huge opportunity to help us show appreciation for our E-ZPass drivers," says SNJB General Manager Kevin Crum. "In addition to rewarding our existing drivers, the Ride for A Rogue Sweepstakes encouraged new SNJB trips by drivers who had not yet experienced the reliability and connectivity our facility affords and helped grow E-ZPass traffic by 5% over the same period last year."

Commuters Care Food Drive Results

Canned food donation 17 small

We set a goal of 500 pounds this year for our 3rd Annual Commuters Care Food Drive. With your collective support throughout the month of February, we reached and exceeded that goal! Donors received a $10.00 Virginia E-ZPass Reload Card for every five contributed items, and all collected food was piled high into the bed of our Safety Service Vehicle and delivered to the food pantry at Oasis Social Ministry in Portsmouth, Va. on March 3, 2017.

The total weight was 632 pounds!

Thank you all for your generous support!

SNJB Billing Cycle & Payments

The South Norfolk Jordan Bridge is the commonwealth's first all-electronic tolling facility. Designed without toll booths to eliminate stops and maximize traffic flow, the private toll bridge doesn't collect cash payment at the time of travel. Instead, drivers' E-ZPass accounts are electronically debited for the appropriate toll, or an invoice is mailed to the vehicle's registered owner approximately 30 days after the trip(s).

Our billing cycle compiles all trips within a 30-day travel window and mails the invoice to the address provided by the DMV database services. Payment in full is expected within 30 days from the invoice date. Accounts that advance beyond the initial 30-day remittance period without payment are subject to additional administrative fees, suspension of vehicle registration privileges and possible legal action including civil penalties.

If you feel you received a SNJB invoice in error, please contact our Customer Care Team promptly by calling #855/690-7652 (weekdays, 8 am - 6 pm ET) or e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
