2022 Toll Rates Announced

South Norfolk Jordan Bridge (SNJB), owned and operated by United Bridge Partners, announces an annual toll rate increase effective January 1, 2022. The region’s most reliable Elizabeth River crossing continues to offer the lowest rate to drivers who travel with a valid E-ZPass. New standard travel fees take effect midnight on Friday, December 31, 2021.
  • E-ZPass drivers of two-axle passenger vehicles, mopeds, and motorcycles are debited $2.75 for each crossing from their valid prepaid account, a change of only ten cents per trip.
  • Pay-by-Plate customers with two-axle passenger vehicles, mopeds, and motorcycles are invoiced by mail at $6.05 per trip approximately 30 days after travel.
  • For vehicles with three or more axles (including cars with trailers), toll rates start at $6.05 per crossing and may increase based on the time of travel and method of payment. Peak hours are 5:30 – 9:00 AM and 2:30 – 7:00 PM on weekdays. Off-peak rates apply during all other weekday hours, weekends, and select federal holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th/Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day). Additional fees apply to Pay-by-Plate transactions.
SNJB drivers enjoy complimentary access to its exclusive Commuter Club, a program that rewards E-ZPass drivers with travel points for each trip that can be redeemed for specific offers and discounts at local businesses. Registration is free and available at SNJB.net or via mobile app. The South Norfolk Jordan Bridge has provided a reliable route and time-saving route across the Elizabeth River’s Southern Branch since opening in 2012. The private bridge was built and operates without any local, state, or federal funding. New toll rates effective January 1, 2022
