SNJB Celebrates 10th Anniversary with E-ZPass Free Toll Weekend

South Norfolk Jordan Bridge (SNJB), owned and operated by United Bridge Partners, announces it is celebrating ten years of serving as the Norfolk region’s reliable shortcut. To show their appreciation to their customers and users for a decade of driving, running, riding, and walking together, SNJB is offering toll-free E-ZPass travel the weekend of November 5th through 6th. The offer is only extended to two-axle vehicles with valid E‐ZPass accounts. Standard rates apply to all multi-axle and Pay-by-Plate trips. New E-ZPass accounts must be activated by November 3, 2022 to qualify. Standard rates apply for all other travel times.

The new South Norfolk Jordan Bridge opened to traffic on October 26, 2012, replacing Virginia’s oldest drawbridge with a soaring landmark. In the years since opening, SNJB has demonstrated that it is more than a just river crossing; it is an essential piece of the country’s infrastructure that saves drivers time and miles every day, contributes to the region’s economic growth, and provides an avenue for fitness and recreation.

South Norfolk Jordan Bridge is an active supporter of community initiatives, including local non-profits that serve veterans, ensure children’s health, the Chesapeake Sheriff and Health Departments, and regularly donates to local food and clothing drives. All these initiatives underscore how United Bridge Partners strives to go beyond building bridges to truly elevate communities.

“We are proud to serve as a vital component of our regional transportation network for the past decade. Ten years and nearly 27 million crossings later, we have our wonderful customers and community to thank for helping us achieve this milestone. We look forward to serving our customers, continuing to fuel our region’s economic prosperity, and contributing to our military’s readiness in the years to come,” said Kevin Crum, South Norfolk Jordan Bridge general manager.
